Located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, travelling to Noosa from anywhere in Australia is easy!

BY PLANE

Sunshine Coast Airport is serviced by five airlines, offering direct flights from a variety of destinations across Australia and Auckland (operated by Air New Zealand seasonally). Multiple flights from Sydney and Melbourne (Tullamarine) operate each day with Qantas, Jetstar, and Virgin Australia, while Adelaide is serviced three times a week with Jetstar. The newest airline servicing Sunshine Coast Airport is the low-cost carrier Bonza, which offers direct daily flights from regional domestic destinations including Cairns, Townsville, Whitsunday Coast, Mackay, Rockhampton, Coffs Harbour, Tamworth, Port Macquarie, Newcastle, Melbourne (Avalon), Melbourne (Tullamarine), and Mildura.

BY ROAD

Noosa is a convenient 30-minute drive north of Sunshine Coast Airport and there are plenty of transport options from the airport including rental cars, taxis, Ubers, bus transfers, public buses and hotel shuttles.

Brisbane Airport is Queensland’s domestic and international gateway, with hundreds of flights departing and arriving daily. There are a number of bus services, private transfers and hire car options from Brisbane Airport to Noosa.

BY RAIL

Catch Queensland Rail's Travel Train from Brisbane and Gympie to Nambour or Cooroy, then bus to Noosa.

Trains from Brisbane and Gympie stop at Nambour and Cooroy, where Sunbus collects passengers heading to Noosa.

GETTING AROUND NOOSA


Travel by Boat 

The Noosa Ferry is a scenic, relaxing and eco-friendly way to get around Noosa, with seven stops along the length of the Noosa River. The ferry operates 8am to 6pm (every 45 minutes) between Noosa Marina (Tewantin) and Hastings Street (Sofitel Jetty). Discounted frequent travel passes are available for both locals and visitors. Travel By Car 

Taxi ranks are located at all major precincts, including at Hastings St and Noosa Junction, or can be contacted on 131 008. Uber is also available within the region, with cars generally readily available (although more difficult to book during peak holiday periods and later at night). Or for something different, try the Noosa Water Taxi, for pickups and drop-offs along the Noosa River and Noosa Sound.
